The Warm Weather has arrived.

I’m not a great advocate of marketing the superficial fitness program – “lose x pounds now” or “get a flat tummy in just 3 weeks” - those programs are unrealistic and usually unsustainable.

Taking positive steps towards good health is empowering when approached with a view to long term health and quality of life.

However, since we’re heading into summer and its all swim suits and shorts the issue of body image does loom large. So if you’re really interested in changing your body shape STRENGTH TRAINING is the way to go.

Reams of research show that a regular program of strength training increases muscle mass! Great I hear you say but I don’t want muscle mass (if you’re a woman!!), I’m not interested in looking like Mrs Schwarzenegger.

But building muscle is the only way to change body shape. Muscle is what gives the body shape and with a properly designed strength program you can narrow your waist, tone your arms get a flatter stomach or all of it!!

  • Increasing your metabolism - use more energy, burn more calories
  • Improving your Posture and preventing lower back pain

So, to look better in your summer outfit and gain all these other health benefits take the lunge and give it a go!
